THE ALAN RICKMAN PAINTING
Alan Rickman pop art painting. A painting celebrating one of the finest English actors to grace the big screen who is sorely missed. This 4 x4 painting has 4 pop art style portraits of Rickman's greatest roles, Han Gruber from Die Hard, Severus Snape from Harry Potter, Marston from Quigley Down Under and finally the mad mad face of Sheriff of Nottingham from Robin Hood, with a touch of blood.
Third in the 4x4 series, this time the fantastic Alan Rickman. Each portrait painted in monochromatic acrylic paint, making each face shades of grey so they all fit together, and balance each other. The background of each panel a spray pained colour to reflect the characters, the red of Die Hard to echo that 80s typography from the posters, green of course for Snape head of Slytherin, the dusty pink for the landscape of Australia for Marston and gold for the sheriff referencing his overt the top flamboyant clothing.
This is a real original painting; it is not a print of any kind digital or otherwise.
The painting is in high-grade acrylic paint, spray paint and ink varnished with a matt spray varnish, on a pure cotton box canvas. The canvas measures 30 inches x 30 inches on a box canvas of 2 inches deep, the sides of the canvas are painted with a wrap around effect, no nails or staples and ready to hang.
