LIBRARIAN GIRL - HONITON LIBRARY, STEET ART

On the 12th November I returned to paint a two wall mural entitled ‘Librarian Girl’ at Honiton Library, supported by the staff there, especially Linda Isaacson, and kindly sponsored by local company Forest Produce. I paintied a portrait another born and bred girl (my sis) from Honiton, with a colour palette inspired by Honiton Community College and Honiton Primary School uniforms. It will depict the ‘Liberian Girl’ reading; captivated and excited by the images that her mind is creating from the book.

With the aspiration that this street art, something less common in Devon, will inspire local kids to see art a bit differently, as well as highlighting and attracting people to visit the library and experience the special feelings you get when reading.
