AMY ACKER STENCIL PAINTING
Original single layer stencil painting in spray paint, I wanted to create a painting with a single layer stencil where the shapes, the swirls, triangles, swoops make up patterns that in turn create the structure of a face. A;; combining create a heavy detailed portrait.
The painting based on one of my favourite actresses Amy Acker, in one her best roles in Joss Whedon’s version of Much Ado About Nothing. I added as many patterns as I could into her face, to add a dream like feel, but still keeping Amy’s elf like face structure. To counter balance this ridged structured pattern to her shoulder.
This is a real original painting; it is not a print of any kind digital or otherwise.
The painting is in spray paint varnished with a matt spray varnish, on a pure cotton box canvas. The canvas measures 16 inches x 22 inches on a box canvas of 0.5 inches deep, the sides of the canvas are painted with a wrap around effect, no nails or staples and ready to hang.
